Privacy notice
This notice covers the documentation site you are reading and the edge caching service it documents. It is written to be read in full; there is not much to it.
01This documentation site
These pages are static text and stylesheets served from our own nodes. They contain no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no third-party scripts, no embedded fonts and no cookies. Nothing is stored in your browser, and no profile of you is built or bought.
Requests to this site are recorded in an ordinary access log line containing the timestamp, the requested path, the response status, the number of bytes sent, a truncated client address and the user agent string. Those lines are used to detect faults and abuse, and are deleted after 14 days.
02Edge nodes serving customer zones
When a node serves content for a customer, it acts on that customer's behalf. Each request produces a log line of the same shape as above, plus the cache state, the object size and the node identifier. Client addresses are truncated — the final octet of an IPv4 address and the final 80 bits of an IPv6 address are discarded — before the line is written to disk.
Request and response bodies are not logged. Authorization headers, cookies and query strings are stripped from log lines before storage. Node logs are retained for 30 days and then deleted; aggregate counters, which contain no client identifiers, are kept for 13 months so that customers can compare traffic year over year.

header, are never written to the cache at all.
03Account data
For customers we hold the account contact name, an email address, billing details and the configuration of each zone. This data exists to operate and bill the service. It is retained while the account is open and for seven years afterwards where tax law requires, otherwise deleted within 30 days of closure.
04Sharing
We do not sell data and we do not share it for advertising. Data is disclosed only to the payment provider that processes an invoice, to the facilities hosting our nodes to the extent that operating hardware requires, and to a competent authority where a lawful, specific and binding order compels it. Where we are permitted to notify the affected customer of such an order, we do.
05Your rights
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where no legal obligation requires us to keep it. Requests are answered within 30 days.
If your data reached us because you visited a website served by one of our customers, that customer is the controller of the data and we act as a processor for them. Direct such requests to the website operator; we will assist them in responding.
